Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions’ (HBCU/MIs’) program is designed to increase the awareness of NAVFAC’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities for students attending HBCU/MIs. Students pursuing STEM degrees in architecture and engineering while attending the nation’s HBCU/MIs compete for the opportunity to participate in an 8-week, in-person, full time program where they will work on relevant STEM projects and activities directly with NAVFAC technical professionals in teams.
Eligibility
Participants must be U.S. Citizens and eligible to receive a security clearance.
Students must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in STEM at an accredited HBCU/MI*focusing on Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Fire Protection Engineering
Participants must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
Students must participate full time and in person at NAVFAC for the duration of the 8-week program.
